PLAYER GUIDE / 01

Find your feet.
Then your opening.

Everything you need for your first round, from the opening jab to beating the count.

Your first three moves

  1. Start in Practice

Open Boxing Lab to move, punch and try the guard without a match result or network connection.

  2. Fight the CPU

Return to the lobby and choose Quick fight. You are the red corner. Wait for the fighters to load and the opening countdown.

  3. Read the result

A bout lasts 75 seconds. Higher remaining health wins at the bell; equal health is a draw. A failed knockdown recovery ends the fight.

Choose your controls

Left and right refer to the physical hand, even when you change between orthodox and southpaw.

Phone or tablet

Move with the left joystick. Tap either glove for a jab; hold for about 0.4 seconds and release for a cross. Swipe inward for a hook, up for an uppercut, down for a body straight, or outward to cancel. Tap HIGH GUARD or LOW GUARD to latch it; tap again to release. Alternate glove taps to recover when knocked down.

Quest Touch or a standard gamepad

Either stick moves. Triggers throw head crosses; Quest grips or gamepad shoulder buttons throw body straights. Hold A or X to turn a punch into a hook, B or Y for a jab, or A+B / X+Y on one controller for an uppercut. Without punching, A/X gives low guard and B/Y gives high guard.

For recovery, alternate fresh left and right trigger presses. Release between presses. To taunt, click the left stick, then right, then left, with less than 1.2 seconds between clicks.

Leave yourself something for the reply

Punching costs stamina. Holding guard stops recovery and drains stamina; release it between exchanges when you have space. Full matching guard is stronger than the partial cover you keep while jabbing. Power punches leave you exposed until their recovery finishes.

High guard protects the head, low guard protects the body. Do not assume one guard covers everything.

Beat the count

When a boxer falls, fighting and the round clock pause. Alternate left and right recovery inputs to fill the meter before the referee reaches ten. You cannot stand before count three. Each repeated knockdown needs more recovery inputs and restores less health.

Make the view yours

On desktop, drag the arena to orbit and scroll to zoom. Phone play uses a follow camera. In mixed reality, use Place / resize ring in the headset menu; hold both triggers and both grips for one second to reopen that menu.

Moving or resizing your own ring does not move another player’s view.
